Fu Hong was born in 1968 in Wuhan, Hubei Province. After graduating from the Hubei Provincial Art Institute, he traveled to seek his fortune in the capital, Beijing. In 2004, he received a Doctorate from the Academy of Art and Design, Qinghua University, Beijing. Fu Hong has exhibited extensively in government-sponsored shows on the national level in China as well as international museum venues throughout Europe and Asia. His works have been sold at auction in China, Europe and the U.S.
